United States Environmental Protection Agency

Currently,  the EPA requires a PMN or Pre-Manufacturing Number for any product that will be commercially manufactured using powdered Carbon Nanotubes in the United States. Under certain situations a SNUN or Significant New Use Notice can be granted in place of a new PMN. Beyond Pacific can assist you and your firm obtain a PMN or SNUN when using Nanophite® Brand CNTs. Note that all manufactured products where powdered CNTs are being sold in the United States require a PMN or SNUN depending on the application.

A PMN is NOT required to purchase and use Nanophite® in R&D projects. If you intend to use Nanophite™ in the U.S. for a future product a PMN will not be necessary during R&D and manufacturing compatibility testing. The PMN can be applied for during the R&D phase so that when manufacturing begins, the PMN should be in hand.

Bonafide manufacturers in the U.S. who are under purchase agreement with Beyond Pacific will receive assistance to obtain a PMN or SNUN from the EPA. This will reduce your cost and time associated with obtaining a PMN or SNU from scratch.
